Century Center Annexation Discussed by Planning Commission
As first reported on Patch, the owners of Century Center are petitioning to join the city of Brookhaven.
The controversial annexation of Century Center into Brookhaven city limits was a brief topic of discussion during Wednesday night's Planning Commission meeting.
The topic came up at the start of the meeting, according to the Brookhaven Post. In this video, some commissioners ask about the boundaries of the property and what Century Center actually includes.
Others also seem to be unfamiliar with the organization known as DECA, the Dresden East Civic Association, which is urging the city to reject Century Center's petition.
In a story first reported on Patch, Century Center's owners have petitioned to become part of Brookhaven, and the city notified DeKalb County on July 1 of its intent to annex the complex.
