Yandura: City Has Received More Than 1,000 Police Resumes
Brookhaven police Chief Gary Yandura also said he's hired or is in the process of hiring all the police department's supervisors.
Brookhaven has received more than 1,000 resumes from prospective officers as the city continues to build a police department, police Chief Gary Yandura said Tuesday.
Speaking before the city council, Yandura also said he's hired or in the process of hiring all the department's supervisors, according to The Brookhaven Post.

Yandura said he has hired or is in the process of hiring all of the 14 department supervisors, in addition to doing background checks on another 18 officers and identified 7 more on Tuesday. The chief said that out of approximately 10 interviews, he usually comes out with 2 or 3 that enter into the hiring process. The City has over received more than 1,000 resumes.
Some of the criteria the Chief is using to draw the zones is his goal to have 3 minute response times, visibility and safety.
