ReplyI have lived 11/2 Blocks from the Pink Pony for 28 years. To the best of my knowledge they pay their taxes on time and have never caused any trouble in this neighborhood. It is time for you people to wake up and not cram your narrow views down every ones throat. We live in a large metropolitian city - Not Mayberry. For your information I have never been inside the Pink Pony

ReplyThe Second Amendment was written precisely to allow common citizens to be armed at the same level as the nation’s army—in short, it is the right to own an assault rifle. Just like separation of church
I think we will be much better served in America if we pay more attention to the needs of our youth - our young men and women - especially the ones at risk or already in the throes of profound mental illness. We need to stop treating mental illness as if it is untreatable and shameful. It is neither. We also need to stop treating youth as if they are adults. We know that prior to age 25 the human brain is not fully developed with regard to the frontal lobe which controls reasoned behavior. Why do we continue to try children as adults when even car rental companies know that under age 25 people make bad impulsive decisions? Banning assault rifles would be easy to do right now and perhaps we should do it, but before we think we have addressed the problem of mass shootings, which are really only dramatically staged suicides, we should think seriously about the legal rights of all Americans, especially American young people, to have competent and affordable mental health care.
