Kiri  earned her bachelor's in journalism from the University of Florida before going on to write for her hometown newspaper and other community newspapers. She then earned her  master's from the Knight Foundation's fellowship for community journalism at the University of Alabama in 2010.

Buckhead is a wealthy community, filled with people who are passionate about their community. The community continues to work hard to maintain its high quality of life by improving the quality of the public schools in the area and alleviating major traffic congestion as the community continues to grow.
