"you getting tired yet of your worn-out deceptive police staffing argument? The rest are tired of hearing it."---Discursive
Who are you to speak for the rest of us?
"Despite the big numbers of DeKalb officers in the north precinct, DeKalb routinely assigns as few as 2-4 officers to patrol Brookhaven. Brookhaven's own police force will provide more patrols when it begins operations sometime during summer. Let’s move on, OK"
Are we allowed to know just who is being interviewed for police chief?

PS: All those, now tall, pine trees in front of CKHS were Xmas trees from students' homes. Back in those days, Xmas trees hereabouts were pines with their roots intact and bundled for eventual transplanting.

Montgomery Mom
"CKHS" = Cross Keys High School
My old alma mater. Class of 6/6/66.
When the school was virtually run by the KKK and ninth grade English teachers would include big three letter words in their spelling tests.
The teachers for advanced English were excellent though. Especially in American Lit.

"And you can bet it won't be the last. Davis' response was amateur hour at best. He better grow some thick(er) skin."---Joe
I think you got it backwards. From surveillance of the public and even 'capture stages' to this city in cyberspace and telemarketing: it is we---the public---who must be expected to "grow some thick(er) skin."
Welcome to 'corporatist' goverance.

", along with other messages relating to the well-being and health of my family, had just been erased."---Me
Correction: I should have posted "had been blanked."
The recorded message had just been there (along with others) but had (along with the others) but had somehow been removed being replaced by nothing but air tone.

"...(no you do not get to see who is in the running because of personel issues..."---Road Scholar
Par for the course: When the business of personnel is none of the public's business.
