ReplyI don't recall my removed post word for word, but I'm sure Jonathon found a way to make it racist. I maintain it wasn't. Of course, Jonathon actually once asked the burning question: "Would A Lakeside City Be Too White?" For those unfamiliar with Jonathon or The Patch, that should give you an idea as to what we're dealing with here. The Patch is a fine place to read surface articles about neighborhood news, but they have no interest in serious discussion. That is, unless they want to know if an area is "too white."
If you want to have a serious discussion it will only be permitted as long as it doesn't make someone like Jonathon uncomfortable. If you say something he doesn't like he'll simply remove it. If he says something you don't like you'll just have to accept it. He's unfortunately been entrusted to delete what he doesn't like or agree with, while imposing his own views with comments or slanted questions. This is truly a ludicrous form of journalism, and I doubt this comment will be deemed acceptable.

ReplyIt's almost always the same demographic - ignorant, violent, drug addled thugs with no interest in anything other than being a parasite and making more babies they don't take care of. What will it take for people to get serious about this issue? Prison accomplishes nothing, nor does giving them food stamps and free housing. The many good Black people need to do something to help create change. Speak English, learn how to dress, admire someone other than athletes and rappers, take pride in yourself, learn something and get a job.

ReplyRace has nothing to do with it in my opinion. Too many are too quick to put their "holier than though hats on." My concern has to do with overcrowding and parking issues. For those of you so hung up on race and crying "racist", I happen to be a Chinese aborigine from Ireland if it makes a difference. The question is whether this is the best thing for the city or not. Maybe it is. But why would anyone not want to consider all sides of the issue before making up their minds?

As a nation we need to crack down on violent criminals and thugs. If the evidence proves these two did this they should already be gone.
