Briarwood Park Meeting Set For Next Monday

Friends of Briarwood Park group is being organized.

DeKalb Commissioner Jeff Rader's office has set a meeting for Monday, June 25, at 6 pm, to meet with area residents to discuss the Briarwood Park Recreation Center improvements. The meeting will be held at the center at 6:00 pm. In an e-mail, Rader's office said Park Pride and county officials would be attending. The correspondence also said the agenda "will be to discuss where we are with park improvements and to develop the Friends of Briarwood Park group that will be the organizing structure going forward." For the past several weeks, residents of the area have been urging the county to move forward with a series of long-planned improvements to the center.
