The building's 300 units could be open for business in this year's fourth quarter.
A five-story apartment complex is under construction behind Town Brookhaven and could be open for business by this year's fouth quarter, the developer said Monday. Fairfield Residential, a San Diego, Calif., company, is building the complex with 300 units on 3.4 acres purchased from the The Sembler Company in August 2011, said Tommy Brunson, a Fairfield vice president. Sembler had intended to build condos on the lot before selling the land. "There just wasn't a market for condo product at the time," Brunson said. The complex will cater to upscale residents, he said, and will include a parking garage. Other high-end amenities include a fitness and business center and a clubhouse. The franchise opens its fifth location in metro Atlanta, this one in Town Brookhaven.
The Joint Corp., a franchisor of chiropractic clinics, will open its fifth clinic this week in metro Atlanta in Town Brookhaven. The Joint is owned by Brookhaven resident Shane Weber, along with Jeff and Cindy McGinty of Sandy Springs. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday at 4 p.m. at 305 Brookhaven Ave., Suite B-1165. The event will feature free adjustments, clinic tours and refreshments. The clinic, which is about 1,200 square feet, will have five employees. The staff will be led by Brookhaven resident Dr. Eric Tabano, who will serve as the clinic physician. More than a year since their plans were first announced, the gas pumps at Costco's Town Brookhaven location are finally open. Patch took these photos on Thursday afternoon. Last year, the store's proposal to put in a gas station ran into opposition from the community. At a meeting with DeKalb County's planning department, three area residents, one of whom is a Costco member, and an Oglethorpe University representative spoke out against the gas station, citing potential issues like long lines spilling out onto two-lane Hermance Drive and creating traffic jams. Oglethorpe was concerned about property devaluation and wanted Costco to help fund a pedestrian walkway from the school to Town Brookhaven, an idea that has been rejected. See Also: …
