State Rep Named Young Leader by French-American Foundation

State Rep. Scott Holcomb has been named a 2012 Young Leader by the French-American Foundation.

State Rep. Scott Holcomb, D-Atlanta, has been named a 2012 Young Leader by the French-American Foundation. He will be participating in the Foundation’s leadership conferences in 2012 and 2013.  Young Leaders are selected by committees in France and the United States through a highly competitive process. Prominent alumni of the program include President Bill Clinton, current French President Jacques Hollande, World Bank President Robert Zoellick, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and General Wesley Clark.  Conferences are designed to foster an exchange of ideas and to deepen the political and cultural connections that cement U.S. and French political and business cooperation. Rep. Scott Holcomb Builds War Chest

State Rep. Scott Holcomb has raised more than $56,000 for his re-election campaign.

State Rep. Scott Holcomb, the incumbent for State House District 81, has raised more than $56,000 for his re-election campaign, according to a press release. Holcomb filed his disclosure report on July 9. He has more than $51,000 cash on hand and he raised more than $12,000 during the last week of June, the press release stated. Holcomb is unopposed in the primary on July 31. Holcomb was elected in 2010 and was named a Deputy Whip as a freshman. He served on the Defense and Veterans Affairs, Public Safety and Homeland Security, and Children and Youth committees. He is an experienced lawyer with more than a decade of experience.
