Brookhaven Residents Create 'Start Brookhaven Right' Committee
The chairperson and treasurer for the committee were former Brookhaven YES board members and have lived in the area for 15 years.
An independent commitee, named Start Brookhaven Right, Inc., recently registered its campaign on Oct. 2, according to records from the state ethics commission. The committee chairperson is listed as Shannon Cameron, who served as a board member for Brookhaven YES and is currently the vice president of the Nancy Creek Heights Neighborhood Network. SBR's treasurer is Christopher Elsevier, who served as treasurer for Brookhaven YES and is an executive officer of The Piedmont Bank. Both are Brookhaven residents, who have lived in the area for 15 years. In June, Brookhaven Patch published a piece Cameron wrote entitled "Cityhood Is Absolutely About the People."
