It takes a lot of mental preparation to let go of a space you’ve grown to love, and the process of selling your home can be particularly strange if you are still living in it. You have to keep your home tidy at all times in order to quickly accommodate your realtor and potential buyers. Here are some tips that will make your home more presentable to buyers, and also help you prepare to move into your new digs. Last but not least, do a walk-through pretending you are a prospective buyer. Note the things that would turn you off and then fix them! Happy selling!

Hines real estate development corporation revealed its plans to build a more than 200-unit apartment complex in Brookhaven Fields along Dresden Drive. Some residents here said while they welcome the development, they would like to see commercial and real estate included in the plans. What are your thoughts? Take our poll. Brookhaven's Karen Smyth said foreigners flock to Brookhaven to buy property
Brookhaven Gardens resident, real estate agent, and Brookhaven Patch blogger Karen Smyth offered her expertise to Public Broadcasting Atlanta for its story 'Foreign Buyers Attracted to Georgia'. Smyth said on the show ‘All Things Considered’ that Brookhaven and the Lake Lanier communities are hotbeds for foreign buyers because “our square footage, our locations and our per acre is cheaper than anywhere else." Smyth reiterated to Patch Monday that it is not unusual for her to sell to buyers from Egypt, Spain, Canada. Smyth said she was excited about the interview, and had posted it on her personal and Brookhaven Patch’s pages where she blogs about real estate.
