The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is pleased to announce that Melora Rennie, of Atlanta, Ga., was recently initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Katherine Narvaez is enrolled at Mary Baldwin College.
Cross Keys High School graduate Katherine Narvaez recently made the Dean's List at Mary Baldwin College in Virginia. While at Cross Keys, Narvaez received the Ribbon of Meritorious Service as leader of Cross Keys' NJROTC, the highest award for an individual cadet. She is also currently enrolled in a Virginia Military Academy training program.

Congratulations to these two students at Piedmont College.
Two Brookhaven students have been awarded academic honors for the recently completed fall semester at Piedmont College. Koffi B Ametohoun and Cynthia G. Sullivan were both named as Dean's Scholars. Students named as Dean's Scholars for the semester have earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average, and students named to the Dean's List have earned a grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.99. Piedmont College is an independent liberal arts college of about 2,600 students with campuses located in Demorest and Athens, Ga. Founded in 1897, the college offers undergraduate degrees in 44 major areas and graduate degrees in education and business, including doctoral degrees in education.

All three are attending Georgia State College & University.
Three Brookhaven students made the Dean's List for 2012 fall semester at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. They are Steffi Beigh, Katherine Foster and Ariel ONeil. Georgia College is the state's designated Public Liberal Arts University. Its four colleges – arts and sciences, business, education and health sciences – serve 6,600 undergraduate and graduate students.

Elliot Mitchell is attending Carelton College.
Elliot Mitchell has been named to the Dean's List at Carleton College. He is the son of Michael Mitchell and Yvonne Bos. The Dean's List is compiled each summer and is drawn from the top ten percent of the previous year's first-year, sophomore, and junior classes. Carleton is a private, co-educational college of 2,000 students located 40 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Georgia Southern University recently announced students who made its 2012 spring semester Dean's List. Six students hailing from Brookhaven made the list, and they are: Nicholas Brown, a hotel/restaurant major Patrick Bugara, an international trade major Jack Cellucci, a pre-business major Toby Cortez li, a pre-business major Morgan Ennis, a pre-ed middle grades ed major; and Hugh Kingery, a construction management major To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have at least a 3.50 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Brookhaven resident Robert Thomas Fulton, a student at Hampden-Sydney College, was named to the Dean's List for the spring semester of the 2011-2012 academic year. Fulton is a graduate of Wesleyan School. ***** From Mercer University: These Brookhaven students were named to the Dean's List at Mercer University for spring 2012: Jennifer Hamilton, a junior, was named to the Dean's List of the Georgia Baptist College of Nursing. Jessica Petersen, a junior, was named to the Dean's List of the Georgia Baptist College of Nursing. Samuel Johnson, a senior, was named to the Dean's List of the College of Liberal Arts.
