Weekend Planner: Books, Cooking, Music and More

An introduction to events happening in the Brookhaven and Chamblee communities this weekend.

If you're looking for things to do this weekend in the Brookhaven and Chamblee communities, here are a few ideas:

  1. Book Sale: Friends of the Brookhaven Library: Friday at 11 a.m. The page isn't dead yet, my friends.
  2. Brookhaven Farmers Market: It's in its new location for the second week this season. Eat local. Eat at the Brookhaven Farmers Market.
  3. Cellist Brad Ritchie with The Brent Runnels Trio: Sunday in the Oglethorpe Museum of Art. Check it out.
  4. Cooking Class - "Baking Bootcamp Hands On" with Chef Joanne Wojcik: It's not cheap, but it's local.
  5. Buckhead Spring Arts & Crafts Festival: No matter how much you have to spend, there will be something for everyone as 175 artists representing all disciplines sell and exhibit their creations May 11-12. Food, live acoustic music, a children’s play area make for a fun weekend for the entire family.
