DeKalb Seeks Input for Transportation Plan

Study will be referenced in Brookhaven's future transportation plan.

DeKalb County is seeking public input on a transportation plan that includes Brookhaven, particularly roads that connect the city to unincorporated county roads.

The study will be referenced in Brookhaven's transportation plan, scheduled to be launched later this year, according to a newsletter from the City of Brookhaven.

A public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Nov 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the Interactive College of Technology, Roberts Hall, 5227 New Peachtree Road, Chamblee. There's also an online meeting Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at www.dekalbtransportationplan2014.com.

"These meetings are also a way for Brookhaven residents to provide input on areas outside of the city, including Chamblee and Doraville, as well as those unincorporated areas to the east and south of the city," Brookhaven Public Works Director Richard Meehan said in the newsletter.
