Chamblee Fourth of July Fireworks May Be Postponed

Friday is an alternate date if weather forces a cancellation this year.

With forecasts ranging between an 80 to 100 percent chance of rain on the Fourth, Chamblee is looking at possibilities it may have to postpone its annual fireworks show.

"If we are unable to set off the fireworks we will postpone to Friday night," Loren Roberts, Chamblee recreation coordinator, told Patch. "All our guys need is about a 30 minute break in the weather to be able to do the show.

"So, if it is not too bad we will look at going forward with at least the fireworks portion of the show. The rest we will have to play by ear."

Roberts is asking people to follow us on facebook or sign up for our e-mail list for up to date information leading up to the event. All of that can be found on the Fourth of July website.
