"Last year was an exciting year for Murphey Candler Little League (MCLL)," wrote president Scott Ackaway on the league's website. "For the first time in over 25 years, MCLL hosted nine other Little League parks from across the state in the 2012 Georgia State Little League Tournament. We showcased not only our park but also the many committed volunteers who offered countless hours of support during the entire tournament week."

Also in 2012 was the debut of the Frontier Baseball League, designed for children with ADD, ADHD, apraxia, auditory processing disorders, speech delays, dyslexia or other sensory challenges.
