Oglethorpe Baseball Player Named to ABCA All-South Region Team

Brendan Pilger finished his career as the school's all-time record holder in home runs, doubles and stolen bases.

The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) has announced their postseason award winners and Oglethorpe senior outfielder Brendan Pilger was named to the All-South Region Second Team after an outstanding senior season.

After garnering his first All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team selection, the ABCA All-South Region Second Team honor caps a record breaking career for Pilger. He lead the team and was in the SCAC Top 5 in home runs (9) and RBI (43) this season, and also led the Petrels in doubles (12) and in runs scored (43). He batted .325 while slugging .649 (third in SCAC) in his farewell season. Pilger finished his career as the school's all-time record holder in home runs, doubles and stolen bases.
