The 2012 Brookhaven Bolt is set to be even bigger than last year. Please enjoy every mile. The route will wind through the rolling hills of beautiful Ashford Park in Brookhaven and is suitable for all ages and skill levels. This year, the race will be certified by the USATF and offer chip timing from Zulu Racing.
The 2012 Brookhaven Bolt is a 5k running event and family oriented festival taking place throughout the beautiful neighborhood of Ashford Park. The race will feature a moderatly challenging course with many cheering spectators, plenty of tree lined streets and a festival offering entertainment for the kids.
A significant portion of the event proceeds will go directly to Ashford Park Elementary School, a shining example of the growth and progress that a DeKalb County elementary school can boast of, especially when the local community and generous corporate partners provide support and backing. This race will offer a 5k run/walk and 5k stroller stroll.
The registration closing date is May 17.
