Brenden Pilger named Petrel Council Athlete of the Week

The senior outfielder guided Oglethorpe to two victories.

Brendan Pilger, of the Oglethorpe baseball team, has been named the Petrel Council Athlete of the Week.

The senior outfielder guided Oglethorpe to two victories while going 6-of-7 at the plate with six RBI and two runs scored. He also crushed his third home run of the season and swiped four bases as Oglethorpe topped Hampden-Sydney and Bates.

In a game that was played at Coolray Field, home of the Gwinnett Braves, Pilger went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two stolen bases, and he was 3-for-3 with a home run, a walk, a hit-by-pitch, four RBI, two stolen bases and two runs scored against Bates.

For his efforts, he was nominated for SCAC Player of the Week honors.
