Ridge Joins Oglethorpe Women's Basketball Coaching Staff

Ridge played Division I hoops for Tulsa and Colorado University

The Oglethorpe University athletics department is pleased to announce the hiring of RyAnne Ridge to the position of assistant women's basketball coach. Ridge will join the staff led by head coach Aaron Nester on September 1 and will assist in all facets of the game including recruiting, film breakdown, scouting and player development.

Ridge joins the staff after competing collegiately as a guard at the Division I level for Tulsa and Colorado University. She hails from Cedar Rapids, Iowa where, at Xavier High School, she was a two-time adidas All-American (2002-03) and a honorable mention All-American by Street & Smith. She averaged 8.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game as a junior, helping Xavier to the 2003 Iowa state championship.

"I am thrilled to add a quality person like RyAnne to our basketball family," said coach Nester. "Her vast basketball background, work ethic and values will serve the university and our program well moving forward."
