Oglethorpe Names New VP For Alumni Relations
Kevin Smryl comes from Oxford College of Emory University.
Kevin Smyrl has been named vice president for development and alumni relations at Oglethorpe University.
He is currently the chief development officer (assistant dean) at Oxford College of Emory University.
Smtyrl will report directly to the Oglethrope's president. He will oversee the university’s fundraising, alumni affairs, and Board of Trustees relations.

Smyrl will assume his new position on June 11, 2012. He succeeds Peter A. Rooney, who served in the position since 2004.
