Oglethorpe Golfers Named GCAA PING All-South Region

The two ranked among NCAA's top 50 Division III players.

The Golf Coaches Association of America announced the 2011 Division III PING All-Region Teams and Oglethorpe golfers Craig Stevenson (pictured)Β and Eric Quinn earned All-South Region honors.

Stevenson, a senior from Sarasota, Fla., carded an adjusted stroke average of 74.75 through 44 rounds of competitive golf in 2010-11 to earn the PING All-South Region distinction. He finished 5th in this year's Georgia Cup standings and came home in a tie for 30th at the 2011 NCAA Championships held in Greensboro, N.C.

Quinn (pictured below), a sophomore from Norcross, Ga., posted an adjusted stroke average of 73.00 through 42 rounds of golf this season to earn both the PING All-South Region designation along with Georgia Cup Player-of-the-Year honors. Quinn finished the 2011 NCAA Championships in a tie for 42nd place overall and will return next season as head coach Jim Owen's top option in the starting lineup.
