Marist School to Host Green Schools Alliance Atlanta Conference

The event is set for Saturday, April 13.

Marist School will be hosting the Green Schools Alliance conference for Atlanta-area students and educators Saturday, April 13.

The goal of the conference is to foster a sense of community among the different groups that promote sustainability in schools and provide hands-on, realistic ideas for students and teachers to use in their schools.

The conference will feature a keynote address from Laura Turner Seydel, national environmental advocate and chairman of the Captain Planet Foundation, as well as breakout sessions from several Atlanta organizations and non-profits, including the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and the National Wildlife Foundation. Breakout session topics include projects like starting pollinator gardens, organic gardens, and rooftop gardens.
