Marist, Cross Keys Students Awarded Comcast Scholarships

Luke Dinges of Marist and Cross Keys' Thuy Hang Tran were among 83 scholarship recipients.


Two students from Brookhaven schools were among 83 recipients of the Comcast Foundation's annual Leaders and Achievers 2012 Scholarship Program.

Luke Dinges, an Alpharetta resident who attends , and Thuy Hang Tran of were the students.

The 2012 Georgia Leaders and Achievers recipients represent 53 different cities across the state of Georgia and were honored during a pre-game celebration at Turner Field prior to the June 15 Braves game. The celebration included remarks from Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and appearances by numerous state and local elected officials.

The Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program provides one-time $1,000 scholarships to students. Since the scholarship program’s inception, there have been over 15,400 scholarship winners totaling more than $15.4 million
