Local Student Recognized for High Marks

A Brookhaven student has made the Dean's List at Samford University.

A Brookhaven student is being recognized for top marks.

Kelly A. Campbell has been named to the Dean's List for the spring semester at Samford University.

To qualify for the honor, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. The Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

Samford University is consistently ranked in the top tier of its peer group by U.S. News & World Report. Founded in 1841, it is the largest private university in Alabama with more than 4,700 undergraduate and graduate students enrolled annually.
