The Charlie Elliott chapter of the Atlanta Astronomy Club at Chamblee Middle School

The Charlie Elliott chapter of the Atlanta Astronomy Club will be visiting Chamblee Middle School during the day.  The students will see what's happening at the sun  by taking a look through their Solar Telescopes and to see the active regions, sunspots, prominences and filaments.

THIS IS CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER.  At night another group will come and let interested individuals look at the objects in the night sky.  Possible objects will be star clusters, double stars, and if the light pollution is not too bad, galaxies and planetary nebulas.  Jupiter will rise around 8:00 that night and will be high enough in the sky around 9:00 so the students will be able to see its belts and its moons.  Interested CMS students and parents are welcome to attend.
