State Representative Asks For Feedback on Possible Brookhaven Cityhood

State Rep. Elena Parent (D-81) released her latest newsletter to constituents Monday morning asking for feedback onΒ  House Bill 636 to provide a charter for a new City of Brookhaven.The bill was sponsored by Rep. Mike Jacobs (R-80) and Tom Taylor (R-79)

The bill would include Ashford Park,Β Drew Valley, Brookhaven Fields and virtually all of the unincorporated part of the district.

Parent is encouraging residents to provide feedback in the following format:

Do you favor: 1) exploring incorporation as the "City of Brookhaven" 2) annexation to an existing city; 3) remain in unincorporated DeKalb County or 4) have no opinion either way.
