Second Town Hall Meeting Scheduled to Discuss Brookhaven Cityhood

A representative from the Carl Vinson Institute will answer questions about the feasibility study.

A second town meeting is planned on the Brookhaven Cityhood Proposal on Tuesday, May 24 at 7 p.m. in the Lupton Auditorium at .

In addition to host Rep. Mike Jacobs, Ted Baggett of the Carl Vinson Institute will be on hand to answer questions about the contents of the feasibility study and what kind of information citizens can learn from it. The Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia will be tasked with performing a feasibility study, which is expected to determine how a City of Brookhaven might impact local services and taxes.

Jacobs said on his website Monday night taht he would "be happy to answer your questions about the status of the City of Brookhaven proposal and how it could progress in the future."
