Planning Commission Approves 31-Townhome Development

The final vote for the development of Brookhaven Townhomes on North Druid Hills Road will go before the city council.

The Brookhaven Planning Commission approved Thursday a 31-townhome development on North Druid Hills Road at the current site of North Atlanta Gospel Chapel.

The commission voted 6-1 in favor of the new development, according to The Brookhaven Post, and the final vote no goes before the city council.

The residential development – called Brookhaven Townhomes, at the nearly 4-acre site at 1475 North Druid Hills Road has been stalled in deferrals and proposal changes.

From the Post's story:

Neighborhood members, particularly along Matthews Street, which is in close proximity to this new development, still felt as though the plan was unacceptable and needed more deliberation between the community and the developers.
