Pink Pony Proposes De-Annexation

The attorney for the Pink Pony has asked about removing the business from the city limits of Brookhaven.

According to a Reporter Newspaper article, Aubrey Villines told the Brookhaven city council: “If you don’t want us, let us go."

The Pink Pony is suing Brookhaven because it wants to continue serving alcohol. It can do that in unincorporated DeKalb.

A Brookhaven city law prohibits the sale of alcohol in establishments where nude dancing occurs.

The Reporter article states that Villines said the Pink Pony brings more than 300,000 people a year to Brookhaven.
