Brookhaven Mayor, City Council To Be Sworn In Monday Night

City council will meet after the ceremony. Patch will have live, real-time coverage of both events.

Brookhaven's first-ever mayor and city council will be sworn in Monday at 7 pm, with the body's inaugural city council meeting to be held afterward.

Mayor-elect J. Max Davis has notified the council of the event.

The ceremony will be held in in Lupton Auditorium at Oglethorpe University, with the city council meeting to follow at 8 pm.

Patch will provide live, real time coverage of both events on Monday night.

"Not a surprise that..."----Political Gadfly Well, it is a surprise that you and not Phil would be the first to post what you have. But what's the difference? None. To, like every question since Day One, not answer any. The question remains: "[Sworn in] by whom?" "Dax Lopez?" "Lois Lane?" I hope the inquiry didn't spoil anything long preplanned.
