Get your 'art' on by taking a group, the family or go solo to the temporary Brookhaven Art Gallery this weekend. The showcase takes it beyond glossy spreads and reflect the grittier side of humanity, street life, and world views. Artwork by traditionalist photographer Christy Murray who has an appreciation for bold imagery is also on display.

2. Dinner and Dancing

What's better than dinner and dancing with your date on a Friday night? Yea, that's what we thought, too! That's why we are including Dinner and Dancing at the in this week's 'Get Out' pick. This event happens every Friday and Saturday evening. DJ starts at 8 p.m. playing a variety of music and your requests.

3. Yard Sale

In these tough economic times, who doesn't love a good yard sale? This Saturday, there will be a community-wide on Clairmont Road where organizers promise to have loads of goodies at great prices for the frugal shopper.

4. Rev. Dr. Fred Craddock Speaks

 invites you to hear who Newsweek Magazine called "one of the 12 most effective preachers in the English speaking world".  The Rev. Dr. Fred Craddock addresses the congregation this Sunday.  Reception to follow the Worship Service.

5. Taste of Atlanta

Experience delicious tastes from more than 80 of Atlanta’s favorite restaurants, exceptional food+wine+beer+cocktail tastings, seminars, food pairings, and relaxing music at the 10th Annual Taste of Atlanta. Be sure to support Chef Joey and the great folks of as they will be making a showing this year.
