Brookhaven mayoral candidate J. Max Davis and District 2 city council contender Russell Mitchell held a Halloween celebration at Ashford Memorial Park on Saturday.

The DeKalb Board of Realtors has endorsed Brookhaven city council district 4 candidate Kerry Witt.

Witt also has picked up a letter of support from the Atlanta Board of Realtors.

The city of Chamblee is preparing to hire new police officers, according to  recent statements from its police chief.

According to Reporter Newspapers, Chamblee police chief Marc Johnson told residents late last week that his department is ready to expand by 23 new officers if an annexation referendum is approved on Nov. 6.

Johnson also reportedly the city has decided to add several civilian employees as well.
