The Chamblee City Council will meet for its work session tonight at 6 p.m. in the Chamblee Civic Center.
Some of the items on the agenda concern annexation and the need for more services if the annexation referendum passes.
One item on the list involves purchasing more police cars, special software for the new vehicles and hiring more officers in anticipation of annexation.
Jan Selman has been helping Chamblee mayor Eric Clarkson draft a proposed city arts initiative. Monthly updates on the process of creating the arts initiative will be presented from now until February 2013.
Variance and rezoning requests will also be discussed as well as a street sign audit.
The meeting is open to the public.
