The Chamblee City Council meets for its regular City Council meeting to be held Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Chamblee Civic Center, 3540 Broad St.
Here's what's on the agenda:
Purchase of four new police patrol cars
The Chamblee City Council will decide at its regular Tuesday meeting if it should purchase four police cars in anticipation of the city’s annexation.
The price of the cars is not to exceed $29,200 each, which would be purchased through a five-year lease. If the proposed annexation is approved, the city will then need to purchase an additional six patrol cars, a total of 10.
If the proposed annexation fails, the city will use the four new patrol cars to replace cars of its current fleet.
Continued discounted and complimentary Dynamo Swim Club services for city residents and employees
City of Chamblee residents and employees will likely continue to receive discounted or complimentary services at the Dynamo Swim Club on Shallowford Road in Chamblee. The Chamblee City Council will vote at its regular council meeting on Tuesday on a memorandum of agreement between the swim club and the city. Last month, the city council approved an extension of the swim club’s lease.
City to appoint new city clerk
The city, which has been without a city clerk since March, will vote on the recommended appointment of Emmie Niethammer to the position. She would be paid a salary of $72,000.
