Brookhaven Mayoral Candidate Forum Set for Wednesday

Just before tuning into the first 2012 presidential debate, head over to the first Brookhaven mayoral candidate forum and get your questions answered. Know before you vote!

After hosting a District 2 candidate forum Thursday, the Ashford Park Civic Association and the Drew Valley Civic Association are teaming up again to host a mayoral candidate forum on Wednesday.

The Brookhaven Mayoral candidates– Larry Danese, J.Max Davis, Sandy Murray and Thom Shepard– have agreed to take questions from voters from 7 to 9 p.m. at Ashford Park Elementary at 2968 Cravenridge Drive. Chamblee Councilman Tom Hogan will moderate the forum.

“With the low primary turnout, our goal was to inspire voters by making information more accessible. Providing a venue where you could not only meet, but ask questions of all four candidates in one place at one time– making an informed decision couldn’t be easier,” stated APCA Treasurer Erica Mymudes in a release.

More than 100 voters attended Thursday’s District 2 candidate debate, also hosted at Ashford Park Elementary. The attendees asked a variety of questions.

“While curiosity briefly arose about Yes City/No City leanings, the focus turned more towards experience, police, reality of budgets and sustainability of resources,” Mymudes stated.
