Board of Commissioners to Hear Resolution on Incorporation
Commissioners expected to make a decision on the resolution today.
The DeKalb County Board of Commissioners are expected to vote today on a resolution to request the creation of a study committee on annexation and incorporation.
The move is a result of a plan introduced by District 2 Commissioner Jeff Rader who last week . He said the resolution would give the county a chance to review the consequences and study long-term sustainability of new cities in DeKalb County.
"The hope would be to stall the referendum in Brookhaven for a year and to consider potential for any of these actions," Raider said. "Whatever happens, we would end up as a county being much more sustainable and less subject to disruption."

The Board of Commissioners meet today in the Maloof Auditorium located at 1300 Commerce Drive in Decatur at 10 a.m.
