Investigators with the Chamblee Police Department and Rockdale County Sheriff's Office believe the man wanted in connection with Tuesday's armed robbery at a Vinings QuikTrip may be responsible for robberies in their jurisdictions, too.

And one of them occurred 45 minutes before the man pulled a gun on a female clerk at the QuikTrip at 2804 Paces Ferry Rd. about 12:58 a.m. Tuesday, said Sgt. Dana Pierce with the Cobb County Police Department.

Pierce announced the possible connection between the three jurisdictions hours after releasing surveillance images from Tuesday's robbery in Vinings.

Just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, a man wearing a dark shirt, a skull cap and light-colored pants purchased a small item from the QuikTrip clerk, Pierce said.

"As the female clerk was making change, the male offender produced a handgun and demanded that he be given money from the cash registers," he said.

After getting the money, the man left the gas station in an unknown direction.

Forty-five minutes before that, authorities said the same man robbed a Chamblee BP gas station at 5018 Peachtree Blvd. The suspect is also accused of robbing a Rockdale County BP gas station at 2992 Hwy. 155 about 10:25 p.m. Sunday.

"Anyone with information regarding the individual (who) investigators from all three jurisdictions feel is responsible for the armed robberies in Chamblee, Rockdale or Cobb is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency by dialing 9-1-1," Pierce said.
