Missing DeKalb County Man's Burned Body Found in Clayton County

A Brookhaven man who was reported missing was found burned to death in some Clayton County woods.

The burned body of a DeKalb County man reported missing last weekend was found 30 miles away in Clayton County, with the victim’s hands and feet bound.

Clayton County police Maj. Joseph Woodall said firefighters were responding to a brush fire in Lovejoy over the weekend when they found the body of 24-year-old Andre Tripps in a wooded area.

Authorities have said Tripps was reported missing from DeKalb County and the circumstances that led to his death are unclear, reports FOX5Atlanta.

Tripps' brother reported him missing and in danger to Brookhaven police, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Surveillance video before his death shows Tripps with several men in DeKalb County, police said.

Investigators have not determined how Tripps' body ended up two counties away.
