Man Escapes Armed Robbers in Apartment Complex Off Buford Highway

The incident occurred at the Marquis Village apartment complex on Saturday, July 20.

A local man escaped an armed robbery attempt outside his apartment off Buford Highway last week, DeKalb County police said.

The 32-year-old victim was walking in the parking lot of Marquis Village Apartment Homes at 2616 Oak Shadow Lane when three suspects approached him from behind a vehicle just after 1 a.m. Saturday, July 20, the police report said.

One suspect pointed a black revolver at him and demanded his money. The victim ran to his apartment and dialed 911. He was not injured, and nothing was stolen from him.

The victim said all three suspects looked between 25 and 30 years old. The first was described as a black male with a medium build and short, black, balding hair. He carried the gun, which had a long barrel, the report said. The second suspect was described as a black male with a skinny build. He wore a white or yellow T-shirt.

The third suspect was described as a black male with an "afro hair style," the report said.
