Donations Needed for Chamblee Apartment Fire Victims

Three families lost everything, apartment community said Friday.

At least three families displaced in an early morning apartment fire on North Hill Parkway lost everything in the blaze, according to Chatsworth Apartments management.

No one was injured.

"Our volunteers were definitely there and we were able to help them with food, clothing and some bedding for those who might have loss beds," said American Red Cross spokesperson Sherry Nicholson. "The [personal property] damage of the residents ranged from minor to completely destroyed."

Chatsworth Apartments said they know of at least three residents who have lost everything and could use donations of any household items, including furniture, clothing and food.

  • Mother with two teenage daughters.
  • Mother with one 7-year-old son.
  • An elderly woman.

Apartment management said they would accept smaller donations from the family and would help coordinate the donation of the larger items. Contact the complex at 855-826-9636.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
