Chamblee Police Warn Of Georgia Power Impersonators

Patch rounds up some recent crime reports and incidents in our 30341 zip code.

The Chamblee Police Department is alerting residents to possible scammers going door to door in the community, posing as Georgia Power representatives.

"Con‐artists are calling people at home claiming that they are a representative of Georgia Power," said Officer Alex Cushenan in his weekly email to residents. "It’s being reported that these people have your home address and Georgia Power account number. Please, kindly tell these people that you will contact Georgia Power yourself to settle the dispute.

"Do not give these people your credit or debit card number."
