Brookhaven Police Deliver School Supplies to Woodward Elementary Students

Brookhaven police officers delivered school supplies to students of Woodward Elementary at their homes on Wednesday evening. The supplies were donated by the Dunwoody police and I Care Atlanta and were given to children identified as in need by DeKalb County schools.

As Brookhaven police officers drove through neighborhoods delivering supplies, children watched them from their windows and soon gathered at the police cars, asking for supplies, eager to accept the pencils, glue sticks, back packs and coloring pencils that once filled the trunks of Brookhaven police cars.  Supplies ran out quickly but the City of Brookhaven plans to deliver more as donations come in.

DeKalb County Schools will resume on Monday, Aug. 12.
