Hundreds Turn Out for Inaugural Brookhaven Chili Cook-Off

The Brookhaven community came together Saturday for the inaugural Brookhaven Chili Cook-off event on Apple Valley Drive.

Good times, laughs and fellowship were served up along with the various samples of chili on Saturday at Brookhaven's inaugural chili cook-off.

Hundreds turned out for the free event, which had more than 50 chili contestants and vendors.

The day was about more than chili, but about being able to connect with neighbors and friends while spending time with your family, benefitting a good cause and dancing a little somewhere in between.

A portion of the proceeds from the cook-off went to benefit the Brookhaven Arts Alliance.
