Ashford Alliance Community Assoc. Meeting

Leading the discussion will be Ted Rhinehart, Deputy COO for Infrastructure (Including Transportation) of Dekalb County.Β  Joining him is State Representative Mike Jacobs who is an advisor to the ARC Roundtable. The AACA Board and various neighborhood representatives will participate.

The objective of the meeting is to discuss what problems and/or improvements should be considered in the potential TIA funded project to improve Ashford Dunwoody Road (ADR). The project is on the TIA list with a budget of $5 million.

The agenda may include the following items:

Brief overview of where the project stands.

Discussion with the neighborhoods about what problems or improvement opportunities (if any) are thought to exist on ADR from I-285 down to Peachtree Road.

Discussion of the problems and ADR improvement priorities, and which are most important to address first.

Discussion of possible infringements on neighborhoods as a byproduct of the project, and what infringements are thought to be undesirable or unacceptable.

The event will take place on August 24 at 7:00 PM, at the Ashford Parkside Community, located off Donaldson Drive near Cambridge Square. Go North on Donaldson from the Texaco station stoplight and turn right at the first stop sign. Destination is first building on the right.
