GREAT Jubilee Family Festival

The GREAT Jubilee Family Festival is an inexpensive & fun way to entertain your whole family and a have a fun afternoon in the beautiful grounds of Oglethorpe University.Β 


An international ambience with music & dance representing the Commonwealth countries, including Africa, India, The Caribbean, England, Scotland, Wales & much more.


In addition, we will be celbrating the 60th Anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, which took place June 2, 1953.

KIDS ACTIVITY AREA:
Close-up Magic with Joe Turner, prizes presented every hour at the Bean Bag Toss, play the traditional English game of Croquet, Bobbing for Apples, Design Your Own Crown, Jelly Bean Count (guess the correct number of jelly beans in the jar and the nearest to the correct number wins them all), Temporary Tattoos (don't worry mom, they wash off!), Free Balloons, and much more.


GOAL SAVE THE QUEEN:
Can you take a penalty kick and beat "The Queen"?Β 


CLASSIC BRITISH CARS:
There will be nearly 60 classic British cars on display, including a a large selection from the Rolls-Royce Owners Club, Southeast region, MINI, Aston Martin, MG, Morgan, Triumph, Sunbeam, Lotus, Jaguar ... and James Bond's white Lotus Esprit from the movie, "The Spy Who Loved Me".


FOOD & BEVERAGE:
The GREAT Jubilee Family Festival would not be complete without being able to sample the delicious FISH 'N' CHIPS from the Marlay Mobile, plus other food vendors. Then quench your thirst at the Licensed Bar sponsored by the Bat & Ball Pub (why not try a Pimm's?)


THE JUBILEE CUP:
A friendly competition between families representing the "4 Home Nations" of Scotland, England, Ireland & Wales including Cricket, and "It's A Knockout" (Sack race, Egg 'n' Spoon race, Tug-O-War, inflatable Obstacle Course, and culminating with the relay Race-Around-the-Quad.Β

MUSIC & DANCE:
