Who Is Brookhaven's Or Chamblee's Person of the Year?

TIME magazine named President Obama their person of the year for the second time. Tell us who you think should win from our towns!

On Dec. 19, Time magazine named President Obama their Person of the Year, again!

The magazine invited votes on 40 candidates, including the president, Gabby Douglas and Kim Jong Un. Other options included The Mars Rover and the Higgs Boson Particle, Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi, and Apple CEO Tim Cook. But, the president took the title again four years after he first won the award as president-elect in 2008.

But who cares about the same-old, same-old? Who is Brookhaven Or Chamblee Person of the Year—the man or woman who, in Timespeak, “most influenced the news this year for better or worse”?

Brookhaven and Chamblee certainly had their share of newsmakers and influential people in 2012, from political and business leaders to those folks simply picking up a rake or a shovel to make our communities a little cleaner.

So tell us your pick in the comments section below!

Hamburger, but only if you publish his true identity.

Based on Obama winning nationally, I agree Hamburger is the logical choice for Brookhaven. Clearly both run contrary to the best interests of the people.

Person of the year could be good or bad. That person is notable for sometimes 1 things, other times for multiple things. Sandy Murray to me is the clear winner for these reasons: Made a spot for mayor - a PT, under $16K job -campaign of epic unforgettable mud slinging and ultimate douche-baggery. Sandy also felt compelled to claim that MAX D was corrupt, a near criminal - doing so while the man had little kids dealing with this. Her outright lies, slander, and despicable robo calling- contempt for a new city at its lowest. Pay to play slander, you name it. no low was too low. For degenerating a 2 bit position into a virtual cesspool, Brookhaven's person of the year, Sandy Murray.

My dear Mr. Miller: You have definitely selected the right person of the year for Brookhaven - Sandy "Unethical" Murray. It's sickening how low her character can go to disgrace others when in the end it reflects back upon her. GOODBYE SANDY!

Here are a few thoughts: - the newly elected and first time Mayor Davis - the long standing elected Mike Jacobs and his influence on the new city creation - all of the "people" in our community devoted to police and fire protection - all of the "people" in our community involved with agencies helping those impacted by poor economy, bigotry and hate - all of the citizens of Brookhaven who exercised their privilege to vote in both elections...regardless of how they voted - all of the citizens of Brookhaven who DID NOT vote and their impact for not voting and being engaged
