Video: Brookhaven Community's Stormwater System in Action

While Drew Valley seems to have been spared any flooding, other Brookhaven communities are reporting problems.

A Brookhaven neighborhood that has suffered flooding during heavy rains in years past seemed to escape the same fate on Wednesday.

A few years ago, DeKalb County and other public works agencies oversaw the construction of a massive stormwater retention network in Drew Valley. That included the construction of a retention pond that also serves as a wetland in the community.

From the looks of the above Patch clip, the system seemed to be working well. But other areas of Brookhaven and Chamblee are reporting problems.
