Pink Pony Could File Lawsuit Against City Over Alcohol Sales
The strip club's lawyer says it should not be included in Brookhaven's ordinance banning nude dancing and alcohol sales.
The Pink Pony could file a lawsuit against Brookhaven if city leaders don't let the club continue to serve alcohol, part of an existing agreement it has with DeKalb county, Reporter Newspapers reports.
Alan Begner, the Pink Pony's lawyer, told the city council on April 23 that only new businesses are subject to the city's ban of nude dancing and alcohol sales, the articles states.
According to the report, Begner asked the city council "to grandfather us in," to avoid a lawsuit "that is almost ready to file" as well as paying millions in damages.
