New Parking Spaces, Fences Near Briarwood Park

The intersection of Briarwood Road and Briarwood Way has seen some improvements recently.

A couple of weeks ago, Patch told you about some construction going on at the intersection of Briarwood Road and Briarwood Way, outside the Briarwood Recreation Center. And we took some video as well.

Well, on Friday, we snapped these photos, as several new parking spaces and a black chain-link fence is nearing completion.

Wonder what other improvements the area may see in the coming weeks?

Fingers crossed that DeKalb County will follow through on the much delayed playground improvements. If so, next up for the Friends of Briarwood Park group will be continuing to clean up the park grounds and focusing on making the pool area and decking a more "user friendly" experience.

Beautiful to see what a little patient work can accomplish - Briarwood Bulldogs on the comeback! Congratulations to the Friends of Briarwood Park for helping moving things along!

So far so good! I'm curious why they wouldn't have installed the playground and pavillion before finishing the fence...nonetheless, looking forward to the completion of this project and continuing to improve our park. Proud of what Friends of Briarwood Park has already accomplished and the hard work yet to be done.

Mr. Tim, your Patch upgrade is akin to Apple’s iTunes 11 upgrade. The Patch was never asRead More slick as iTunes 10.7, but it is actually worse than iTunes 11. Sorry, someone just has to say it . . . Please pass the yellow mustard!
